Rekha Gupta took the oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on Wednesday after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a decisive victory in the Assembly elections. Her swearing-in marks the party’s return to power in the national capital after more than 26 years, bringing an end to the 10-year rule of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal.

Following the official oath-taking ceremony, Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva addressed the media on Friday, assuring that the new government would adopt a responsible approach to governance. He emphasized that "not a single penny of public money would be wasted on glorifying the government, the Chief Minister, or the party."

Sachdeva also highlighted that the BJP government’s advertisement policy would be fully transparent, ensuring that all advertisements are issued strictly in the public interest. This statement appears to be a direct reference to past allegations of excessive spending on advertisements by previous administrations.

The BJP’s victory in Delhi is a significant political development, reshaping the capital’s leadership after more than a decade. The new government is expected to introduce key policy changes, with a focus on transparency, governance, and public welfare. Further announcements regarding governance strategies and cabinet appointments are expected in the coming days.
