On June 26, the Supreme Court approved the CBSE’s decision to cancel the class 10th and 12th pending board exams. The board confirmed that it plans to announce the results for CBSE Board Exam 2020 by 15th July 2020 for both Class 10 and Class 12 students.

In such case all students are now worried about how will the board calculate and allot them marks?

Here's how Class 10 and 12 marks will be calculated: 

How will marks be calculated for students, who have completed all their exams / papers?Students who have completed all their exams / papers their assessment will be done on basis of their performance in these papers and results will be declared in accordance with it.How will marks be calculated for students who have appeared in more than three papers?Students who have appeared in more than three papers, the average of the marks obtained in the best three performing subjects will be awarded as the score for the pending papersHow will marks be calculated for students who have appeared in only three papers?Students who have appeared in only three papers, the average score of best two papers will be awarded as marks in the pending papersHow will marks be calculated for students who have appeared for only 1 paper?Students who have appeared for only 1 paper, their results will be based upon internal/practical/project assessment.

In addition to improve the performance, the class 12th students can also reappear in the examination once the situation is under control, CBSE added. “Students will be given the choice to decide if they want their results based on the methodology of assessment as decided by CBSE or choose to write the exams again. I would like to reiterate that the health of students, parents, and teachers is our prime concern, Union Cabinet Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said in a tweet.
