The district court in Ferozepur received a bomb threat email on April 6. The bomb threat email triggered panic in the area after authorities received a warning. The alarming message prompted immediate action from police and security agencies, who swiftly reached the location and secured the entire court premises. A thorough search operation was launched to ensure safety and to check for any suspicious objects within the district court premises. Following the threat, officials advised lawyers and the public to avoid entering the court premises as a precautionary measure. Security was tightened, and multiple teams were deployed to monitor the situation closely. Authorities are maintaining strict vigilance across the court premises, keeping a watch on any unusual or suspicious activity while the investigation continues.

Officials noted that a similar email threat had previously been sent to the Ferozepur court. However, no suspicious items were discovered during the earlier search operation. In the current case, police are conducting a detailed investigation from all possible angles and are working to trace the origin of the email and identify the sender responsible for the threat.
On April 2, a bomb threat was received by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, prompting a huge security alert. The SSP office received the email early in the morning. On April 2, at around six in the morning, an email warning of a potential explosion on the Punjab and Haryana High Court's property was received via Hotmail. According to sources who spoke to The Indian Express, the threatening email made reference to Dravidian politics and first seemed to have been translated into Hindi using an AI-based program.
Whether the mail sent is a hoax or it is real is yet unknown. The IP address and origin of the email are also being looked into by the cyber investigation team.
