Hapur Bus Accident: 6 Killed, Several Injured in Collision Between Bus and Truck on Dhaulana-Gulawati Road

At least six people were killed and several others were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaulana-Gulawati Road in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur in the early hours of Monday, April 13. According to the news agency IANS, a hydra vehicle overturned on the passenger bus after the collision, trapping passengers. 

The accident occurred while the people were returning from a wedding function. After receiving the information, locals, along with the police team, including the SP, reached the spot.

The incident took place in the Dhoulana police station area. Hapur Superintendent of Police (SP), Kunwar Gyananjay Singh, said, "On the Dhoulana–Gulaothi road, people were returning from a wedding procession from Gulaoti."

"Six people, including the bus driver, were killed and seven others were injured and receiving treatment at the hospitals. Some are admitted at Rama Medical College, some at GS Medical College, and others in Dhoulana," Kunwar Singh told IANS.

Traffic was disrupted on Dhaulana-Gulawati Road after an accident, but ill-fated vehicles are now removed from the road and traffic is clear, said SP Kunwar Singh.
