HRD Ministry has formed a panel to review situation for conducting the pending national level entrance exams NEET and JEE in the country.

The panel will look into the feasibility factors, both in terms of logistical arrangement as well as safety and security of the students, especially keeping in mind the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Looking at prevailing circumstances & requests received from students & parents appearing for JEE & NEET exams, committee consisting of National Testing Agency & other experts has been advised to review situation & submit its recommendations to Ministry latest by tomorrow, said Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. 

The JEE Main 2020 Engineering entrance exam is scheduled to be held from 18th to 23rd July 2020 while the NEET UG 2020 medical entrance exam is scheduled to be held on 26th July 2020.

Many students have reached out to the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank asking him to cancel the entrance tests in the light of rising number of Coronavirus cases in the country.
