Punjab Police is fighting the drug situation by uniquely attacking the drug peddlers. They have now started demolishing properties owned by these drug peddlers across the state. Police raided four homes and seized the belongings of women who were allegedly involved in drug trafficking in Nawanshahr on March 11.

SSP Mahitab Singh said, “The police force has been deployed to ensure there are no issues. We will take strict actions."

On February 27, the Punjab Police demolished a house owned by a drug peddler in Patiala.As a part of Punjab’s crackdown on drug peddlers, authorities bulldozed the house of drug trafficker Rinki. Police carried out the demolition process. JCB machines were deployed on the spot.

As part of the state government's battle on drugs, the state police destroyed the unlawfully constructed homes of two drug smugglers: Rahul Hans of Bhai Himmat Singh Nagar in Dugri in the Ludhiana district and Sonu of Talwandi village near Ladhowal, on February 24.
