Telangana: Mysterious Disease Hits Poultry Farms in Wanaparthy, 2,500 Chickens Die in 3 Days
Around 2,500 chickens died with a span of just three days in Telangana's poultry farms, said K Venkateshwar, District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry officer of Wanaparthy district. He said mysterious disease has caused deaths in Konnur and Madanapuram mandal, reported the news agency ANI.
According to District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry officials, samples from the spot have been collected and sent to the lab for testing. The officials said 117 chickens died on February 16 and 300 on the next day and the remaining died on February 18. Samples for investigation into the deaths of birds have been sent to the laboratory from the farm named Premium Form.

As a large number of chickens have died, local people are apprehensive of the reasons, with some suspecting bird flu. However, officials have not confirmed this.
