Varanasi Tragedy: Cylinder Explosion Kills Two, Family Members Injured

Varanasi: Two killed, other two injured after cylinder explosion in dilapidated house near the Lahartara private bus station in Varanasi on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Deceased identified as Kumar Chaudhary , and Preeti and two injured identified a deceased brother  Aman Chaudhary, and mother, Girija Devi, are under treatment,

According to Hindustan Times report local police told incident occurred on Tuesday morning in which four victims were buried under debris. Following the incident police immediately arrived at the location on the scene with the bomb disposal squad and a dog and rescued theme.

Injured were admitted to the BHU trauma centre where Om Kumar and Preeti succumbed to their injuries. A gas cylinder leak caused an explosion while Girija Devi was cooking, collapsing her house and trapping her and her three children.
