Naomi Campbell recently revealed that she has welcomed a baby girl.

Naomi successfully managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps, with the baby welcoming post being the first public admission.

The 50-year-old British supermodel announced the news Tuesday on Instagram, posting a picture of her hand holding a baby’s feet.

She wrote in the caption, “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, so honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.”

Naomi even updated her Instagram bio to share the news with her followers adding 'Mother' to the bio along with 'Model, Actress, Cultural Innovator, Activist, Privacy Law Pioneer, Founder of Fashion for Relief'. However, according to several media reports the supermodel's spokesperson declined to provide more information.

Naomi's mother, Valerie Morris-Campbell, also shared the same image and captioned it, "Congratulations to my daughter Naomi on the birth of her daughter, I’m beyond thrilled as I’ve waited a longtime to be grandmother." To which Naomi replied, "We love you Mum."

Belgian designer Diane Von Furstenberg wrote, "God bless you both." And British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful also commented, “Seeing the two of you together made my year. You will bring each other so much joy.”

In 2017, Campbell spoke about her desire to be a mother in an interview with the Evening Standard. She said, “I think about having children all the time, but now with the way science is, I think I can do it when I want.”

Naomi was last seen in a self shot image on the cover of the May/June issue of Essence magazine.

The cover honoured the publication's 50 years, celebrating the 50th anniversary and also the model's own 50th birthday, both of which coincided. On account of coronavirus restrictions, social distancing and people staying home, Naomi ended up shooting the cover all by herself using only her iPhone, which was a first for the magazine.
