Ahead of Ashadhi Ekadashi on July 25, 2026 , District Collector Jitendra Dudi has given clear instructions to complete all development works on the Dehu and Alandi Palkhi route before May 15. He was speaking at a special review meeting organized with the office bearers of Alandi and Dehu Sansthan. On this occasion, the District Collector assured to take a positive stand at the administrative level for the Palkhi ceremony and take concrete action on all pending demands.
The meeting was attended by Resident Deputy Collector Jyoti Kadam, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Chandrakant Waghmare, Provincial Adhikari Anil Daunde, Dehu Sansthan Trustee Ganesh More and Alandi Sansthan Chief Trustee Dr. Bhavarth Dekhne, Trustees Yogi Niranjannath, Chaitanya Maharaj Kabirbuwa, Purushottam Maharaj Patil along with senior officers of various departments.
Regarding the widening of the five-kilometer road from Dehu to Dehu Road, instructions have been given that the Public Works Department and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation should immediately complete the works within their respective areas. The Collector's Office will follow up on this work to obtain the no-objection certificate from the Dehu Road Cantonment Board required for this work.
Also, the 500-meter road to the temple in Dehu will be completed through the Urban Redevelopment Scheme. The first stop of Sant Tukaram Maharaj's palanquin is at Akurdi, but due to space constraints, a joint survey will be conducted to provide temporary space. Instructions have also been given to complete the metro work between Kalbhor Nagar and Akurdi before the arrival of the palanquin. Space will be increased for the palanquin stop at Loni Kalbhor, and the issues of stopping places at Undwadi, Sansar and Nimgaon Ketki in Gawla will also be resolved through the administration.
