Pune Shocker: Watchman Strangled to Death Over Minor Dispute, Accused Arrested

Pune: A minor argument between two watchmen over sleeping arrangements turned into a major acceleration and one watchmen allegedly strangled the other to death with the help of towel. The perpetrator informed the Police Control Room about the incident. The deceased watchman has been identified as Pandurang Bhaurao Kharvane, a resident of Mhasoba Vasti, Manjari. Kharadi police have arrested Sudarshan Manik Kale, a resident of Tuljabhavaninagar, Kharadi, in connection with the case.

Balu, son of Pandurang Kharvane, has filed a complaint regarding his father's death. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on Monday, the 13th, at Spanlife Society, Sweet India Chowk, Kharadi. Police report that the accused, Sudarshan Kale, and the victim, Pandurang Kharvane, both worked as watchmen at Spanlife Society. A dispute arose around midnight over sleeping arrangements, escalating into a physical altercation. Kale strangled Kharvane with the gamcha tied around his head, resulting in his immediate death. Kale, realizing the severity of his actions, subsequently contacted the Police Control Room to report the incident.

The Kharadi police immediately rushed to the crime scene. Consequently, the police took Kale into custody. During interrogation, he confessed to murdering Pandurang following a dispute over sleeping arrangements. Deputy Commissioners of Police Rajlaxmi Shivankar and Somay Munde, Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan, and Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse visited the scene of the crime. Assistant Police Inspector Pote is conducting further investigations into the case.
