Pune Traffic Update: Hadapsar–Dive Ghat Road To Remain Closed For Three Hours On February 5 - Check Details Here
There is important news for commuters travelling between Hadapsar and Dive Ghat. The widening work of the Alandi–Pandharpur Palkhi Highway is currently underway at a fast pace. As part of this infrastructure project, controlled rock-blasting will be carried out in the Dive Ghat area on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Due to this activity, traffic on the Hadapsar–Dive Ghat stretch will be temporarily shut. The Pune City Traffic Police have confirmed that vehicular movement on this route will be completely suspended for a few hours to facilitate the safe execution of the operation.
According to official information, traffic between Hadapsar and Dive Ghat will remain closed for all categories of vehicles from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday. The decision has been taken in coordination with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), which is conducting the blasting work to break rocky sections of the hill for road widening. Authorities have clarified that such measures are essential during blasting activities, as falling stones, debris, and loose soil can pose a serious danger to motorists and pedestrians using the route during the operation.

The Pune Traffic Police have urged citizens to plan their travel in advance to minimise inconvenience and prevent congestion on surrounding roads. Officials have also appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic personnel deployed in the area and follow advisories strictly to ensure safety during the blasting period.
