Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) a few days back gave emrgency use approval to two Covid-19 vaccines by Bharat Biotech and Oxford-AstraZeneca. DCGI approved Serum Institute of India-manufactured Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and indigenously developed Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for restricted emergency use in the country.

There are also rumours associated with vaccines claiming the covid vaccine will make you impotent, Covid Vaccine has pork. There are some of the most bizarre claims that have been made about Covid-19 vaccine.

Dr Raman Gangakhedkar, former deputy director of Indian Council of Medical Research, has clarified that there is no need to believe such rumors, these rumors are false. He has appealed to the people not to forward any message on social media about the corona vaccine without verifying it.

Also, people should understand that before any vaccine is approved, a process is carried out, it is allowed after considering the whole thing, those who refuse to take the corona vaccine should think that they are not harming themselves but their family as well. It has to be done, their relatives, friends can all get in trouble, said Dr. R Gangakhedkar said.

“After adequate examination, CDSCO has decided to accept the recommendations of the Expert Committee and accordingly, vaccines of M/s Serum and M/s Bharat Biotech are being approved for restricted use in emergency situations,” DCGI VG Somani said during a press conference. “We’ll never approve anything if there is slightest of safety concern. The vaccines are 100 per cent safe. Some side effects like mild fever, pain and allergy are common for every vaccine. It is absolute rubbish that people may become impotent,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
