Thane Road Accident: Two Killed, One Injured as Trio on Two-Wheeler Hit by Bus in Mumbra
Thane: In a tragic accident on April 07, 2026 two youths were killed another got injured after two-wheeler, were hit by a private school bus as they reportedly tried to overtake it. This incident took place near MM Valley area in Mumbra on Tuesday evening.
As per the Saam TV reports, two deceased, aged 19 and 21, have been identified as Avinash Davande and Sangham Pulshare, respectively. The third injured is 18-year-old Mahesh Ware is currently in hospital undergoing treatment. It is reported that two men on the two-wheeler were reportedly trying to overtake the bus when it suddenly skidded after losing balance, leading to the accident
Meanwhile, a serious accident involving a garbage collection vehicle has raised safety concerns in Bhayandar West after an elderly woman was critically injured on April 3. The incident occurred around 8:30 am near Bhadrakali Temple when a dumper operated by the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation was reversing in the area. During the manoeuvre, the vehicle allegedly struck the woman, crushing her leg under its wheels. The impact caused severe injuries, leaving bystanders shocked and prompting immediate efforts to rush her for urgent medical assistance.
The injured woman was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment for her injuries. While her exact condition has not been officially disclosed, the injuries sustained are serious in nature and require close medical attention. The vehicle involved in the incident is operated by contractor Global Waste Management Pvt. Ltd.. The accident has raised concerns among residents regarding safety protocols followed during garbage collection, especially in crowded localities where such heavy vehicles operate regularly without adequate precautionary measures in place.
