Aurangabad, May 9:

The opposition is alleging that the figures of the deaths due to Corona all over the state are not real. Now, it has been found that the allegation are true to some extent. In all, 1762 persons die due to Corona, but of which 432 and 1330 died as Covid patients and suspects respectively. Now, it is being suspected that how the number of deaths of the suspects can be so high.

The deaths were the most in April. Total deaths reported in this month at the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation were 2854. It was the record high in the past five years. Every year, at the most 600 deaths are recorded in April so far. This year it is maximum of 2854, of which 432 are Corona patients and 1330 Corona suspects.

In the initial phase of the pandemic, it took around three to four days to get the Corona reports of the patients. If the patient dies in this period, the death is reported as the suspect. Now, the reports are getting within a day. Still, around 1330 patients were reported as suspects in April. Hence, the question arises that why the administration is hiding the real figure of Corona patients' deaths.

AMC medical officer, Dr Neeta Padalkar said, many people have the symptoms, but their reports are not positive. However, they are given the Corona treatment. If unfortunately, they die, they are reported as Corona suspects. Hence, the number of suspects is more, she said.
