Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zilla Parishad (ZP) Vikas Meena found students indulging in mass-copying at Adarsh Vidyalaya at Pimpalgaon Valan in Phulambri tehsil of the district on Saturday afternoon.

It may be noted that Vikas Meena made a surprise visit to the 12th standard examination centre at 12 noon. The students were taking a Mathematics subject paper.

A total of 27 people were booked with Phulambri Police Station on the complaint of the bloc education officer (BEO). When ZP CEO Vikas Meena made a surprise visit to the centre at 12 noon, many outsiders were seen leaving the centre.

The police were sitting outside the centre. They were not objecting to anyone coming into the centre.

Also, a large number of copies and books were found thrown around the centre. When he collected them through the staff and inspected them, they were found to be all from the Mathematics subject.

The CEO expressed his anger as it was seen that all the copies were provided to the students by the staff present or that the staff did not take them away from the students after they brought them to the centre.

He then ordered the education department officials to take action. Vikas Meena also ordered the BEO to send a proposal to cancel the recognition of the centre and take action against the concerned principal and centre head, invigilators, supervisors, police personnel on duty and others. His order of action has created a huge commotion in the district.

Action was taken against two students who were found copying the Physics paper at the same centre held at Adarsh Vidyalaya four days ago. Now, as mass copying was found in the Mathematics paper, there is a possibility that the examination centre here may be cancelled in the future.
