Aurangabad, Nov 15:

The third round of admissions on seats reserved under the Right to Education Act (RTE) began on Saturday.

Those who did not get a seat in the first two rounds were waiting for the third round. Around 489 students are eligible for the third round which started yesterday. They will have to confirm the admission on or before November 23.

It may be noted that the 25 per cent seats are reserved in private schools for economically and socially backward students under RTE. There are 5,043 seats reserved in 548 schools in the district for such students.

The admission process which began in March was delayed with the spread of Novel coronavirus. Nearly 16,600 parents applied online. Still many seats are vacant. Parents demanded that the information about the vacant seats should be made public so that others can avail it.
