Aurangabad, Dec 7:

The thieves stole around 450 kgs food grains of the Poshan Aahar Scheme worth Rs 6,000 from a private school at Wadgaon Kolhali in the Waluj area. A case against unidentified thieves has been registered at the Waluj MIDC police station.

According to the details, under the ‘Poshan Aahar’ scheme, the Dnyanganga Public School, a private school, received rice and pulses from the government for the students of class first to class eighth. A week back, in all 25 students of the schools were distributed the food grains after taking their parents'' sign. As most of the students are not coming to the school due to the Corona crisis, the school administration kept the remaining food grains in a room. On December 5, the headmistress, Mangala Nikam and her assistant Chandrakala Kate observed that the lock of the room where the food grains were kept was broken and the food grains were missing. Nikam immediately informed about it, the school secretary Yogesh Pail and member Pushpa Ajmera. A case was lodged at the Waluj MIDC police station.
