Aurangabad, June 24:

Notorious goon Mohammad Anis Mohammad Hanif, alias Bokya beat and robbed an old hotel owner eight days back after staying in prison for nine months. He looted the owner of his gold chain amounting Rs 1.5 lakh, Rs 5,000 cash, and a mobile phone at Hotel Shangrila in the Bus Stand area on June 22. The Kranti Chowk police arrested and seized the valuables from him. He was presented before the court and was sent again to the Harsul jail.

Complainant Salim Akbar Ali Kudchiwala (61, Sirin Villa, Delhi Gate area) was sitting at his hotel on June 22 night. Accused Anees Bokya went there and abused the owner. He tried to convince him, but Bokya did not listen to him. He snatched his gold chain amounting Rs 1.5 lakh, his mobile phone amounting Rs 30,000 and Rs 5,000 cash from his pocket. Kudchiwala later lodged a complaint at the Kranti Chowk police station. Under the guidance of PI G H Darade, police team, including PSI Santosh Raut, constable Nasim Pathan, Manoj Chavan, Santosh Suryawanshi and others arrested Bokya and seized the robbed valuables.

Earlier, Bokya was sentenced to nine months imprisonment at Harsul Jail in a robbing case. After coming from jail, he started his criminal activities again. Now, the court has sent him to Harsul Jail again.
