Aurangabad, Dec 26:

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (SCETC) has extended the last date of online registration for admissions to different professional technical courses second time to provide benefit to Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and general candidates.

It may be noted that the State Government on December 23 decided to proved SEBC category reservation benefits under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) group. A Government Resolution was passed to this effect by virtue of which individuals from the Maratha community can now get reservation benefits in State educational institutes and State government jobs if they fall within the income limit specified for the EWS category.

The admission process to the profession technical courses began around 15 days ago and the last date was before December 24.

With the extension in the schedule, both SEBC and general candidates, can apply to the courses-MBA, B Arch, March, B HMCT, MCA (up to December 29) and B E, B Tech, B Pharmacy, M Pharmacy, ME, M Tech and M HMCT (up to December 30). Those who have applied from open group can choose SEBC category for the admissions.
