Aurangabad, April 2:

The Town Planning (TP) section of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has cancelled the tentative building permission of a three-storey building being constructed on road in the Majnu Hill area. The process to regularise the property under Gunthewari Act has also been stalled. The AMC officials took the action after receiving an objection to the construction.

According to details, the TP section had regularised plot number 36, demarcated on the land bearing city survey number 11318, in Majnu Hill locality, under Gunthewari Act. Later on, the building permission was also granted for the construction of the plot. However, one Shaikh Wajed Pasha contacted the AMC officials and brought into notice that the said construction has been made on the road. The officials concerned then scrutinised the documents and found the plot is being utilised and that the construction made upon it more than the sanctioned permission. Hence the TP section immediately cancelled the building permission as well as the Gunthewari permission.
