Aurangabad, Feb 26:

In all, 247 Corona patients are being treated at the Kileark Covid Care Centre (CCC). The patients at the centre created chaos as there was delay in providing lunch to them on Friday. The lunch is provided usually at 12.30 pm every day but today it was provided at 4 pm due to which the patients got angry. The patients beat the security guards and created ruckus at the centre. Meanwhile, the employees of the centre tried to console them and the patients withdrew the agitation after they were provided the lunch.

Every day, around 250 patients are being admitted and the Kileark CCC was full in just four days. On Friday, all the patients were given breakfast in the morning but the lunch was given at 4 pm as the contractor had supplied the food late. The patients were angry with it and all the positive patients gathered at the ground in the premises. They also manhandled the security guards. The guards tried to close the gate but they pushed him and came directly on the road. Later, the employees requested them to come to the building again. Meanwhile, the food arrived and they were given food.

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said that the food delivery was delayed as the tyre of the vehicle was puncture. Last year, such incident did not occur at a single CCC. The patients should understand the problems of the administration and should co-operate, she said.
