Aurangabad, Dec 5:

The Waluj MIDC police, a few days back, felicitated an Ape Rickshaw driver who helped a girl came from the other state and duped by her lover, by bring her to the police station. Now, the police were stunned as he was found to be an accused in the mobile theft case. The police have arrested him.

PI, Madhukar Sawant said, last week, a thief stole expensive mobile phone of an industrialist Vishwas Vanjare. He lodged a complaint at the Waluj MIDC police station. The police after investigation arrested a suspect Ashok Babanrao Pankhede (19, Ranjangaon) for inquiry. During interrogation, Pankhede confessed that he had stolen the mobile phone. The police have seized the phone from him.

The police were stunned to know it as a few days back, the Waluj MIDC police had felicitated him for helping a poor girl wandering in the Waluj MIDC area after she was duped by her boyfriend. The girl was from the other state and was searching for her boyfriend. Ashok met her on the rickshaw stand and brought her to the police station.
