Aurangabad, May 3:

More than19,384 undergraduate candidates took the paper on the first day of resumption of postponed examination within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on Monday.

It may be noted that the second and third UG examinations began on March 16 and first-year students started appearing for the papers from April 6.

With the implementation of strict curbs for COVID by the State Government, the university had postponed the papers to be held between April 15 and May 2.

Bamu resumed the examinations in online mode from today. Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole issued orders to implement the strict norms to contain the spread of the pandemic virus.

The postgraduate courses examinations will commence from May 5. Unlike last time, no no complaint of the technical issue was reported today.

Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Yogesh Patil said that 9,383 candidates were present in the first session while 10,001 in the second session today.
