Aurangabad, April 8:
The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) declared the containment zones where the Corona patients are found in the city, four days back. However, not a single AMC employee visited these zones. On Thursday, a central inspection team arrived in the city and the administration erected the boards highlighting the respective containment zones.
The administration conducted a survey of the city through the Smart City Development Corporation team and declared 26 containment zones in the city on April 4. These zones were categories as 8 big containment zones, 12 medium and 6 micro. The residents of these zones are not allowed to go out of the limits of the zone and no outsider is allowed to go in. However, the banners stating the containment zones were not erected here. But, the boards were erected after the sudden arrival of the central team in the city. However, measures and guidelines to be implemented in these zones are still on the papers.
The corporation has highlighted the guidelines for the residents on these boards. The residents are not allowed to go out or others to come in these zones. Stern action will be taken against those breaching the guidelines. However, the administration has not yet established any machinery to implement these guidelines.
