Aurangabad, Nov 2:
After seven months, the burden and stress of workload on doctors, nurses and health employee has reduced a bit. The reason is that number of patients in the district has come down.
It may be noted that there were 6,190 patients in Government and private hospitals of the district on September 23.
The service of privet doctors was taken as strength of Government doctors was proving insufficient.
But, within one month, the scenario has changed. The number of patients undergoing treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), District Civil Hospital, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation COVID centre and the private hospital has come down.
The requirement of human resources too has come down for the patients'' treatment.
District Civil Surgeon Dr Sundar Kulkarni said that figure of pandemic patents has reduced, so, post-COVID Out-Patients Department (OPD) will be started.
The GMCH administration will be able to pay more attention to regular surgeries with declining in COVID patients.
Its medical superintendent Dr Suresh Harbade said that stress is being laid to increase the number of surgeries.
