Aurangabad, Dec 5:
The chief minister Udhav Thackeray held a meeting to review the progress of Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg at Golwadi (in Vaijapur). He also drove the vehicle went on the spot for inspection. After reviewing the project, the CM instructed the authorities concerned to complete the task before Maharashtra Day (May 1).
The chief minister arrived at Golwadi from Amravati in a helicopter today afternoon. The public works department (PWD) minister Eknath Shinde accompanied him. The EGS minister Sandeepan Bhumre and minister of state (MoS) for revenue Abdul Sattar welcomed the CM at the review meeting. Legislators Ambadas Danve, Uday Singh Rajput, Ramesh Bornare and Sanjay Shirsaat along with the former MP Chandrakant Khaire, district collector Sunil Chavan, special IGP KM Mallikarjuna Prasanna, ZP chief executive officer Mangesh Gondawale and superintendent of police (SP) Mokshada Patil were also present in the meeting.
At the outset, the officials of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) and L&T Company officials gave a presentation of the Super Communication Expressway''s Package 10 before the CM. The presentation elaborated upon Package 10, which includes, 57.95 km of six-lane rigid pavement carriageway, 12.77 km of service roads, 6.4 km of cart tracks, three Interchanges, 1 ROB, four major bridges, five canal bridges,19 minor bridges/canal bridge, 79 culverts, 1 VOP and 49 vehicular/pedestrian/cattle underpasses. The collector apprised the CM about the status of the project. The public representatives present on occasion also shared their opinions regarding the mega road.
The additional chief secretary Manoj Saunik, managing director (MSRDC) Radheshyam Mopalwar and CM''s secretary Milind Narvekar were also present on occasion.
