Aurangabad, Nov 12:

The Crime Branch police arrested two smugglers transporting Marijuana secretly in the city by laying a trap on Wednesday night. The police seized 10.480 kgs of Marijuana, two mobile phones, and a Jeep, all amounting around Rs 5.80 lakh. The arrested have been identified as Javed Khan Ayub Khan (35, Nutan Colony) and Yousuf Khan Umar Khan Dada (44, Samtanagar).

PI Ajabsingh Jarwal and his team was patrolling on Wednesday night and received the information from the informers that Marijuana is being brought in the city secretly in a Scorpio Jeep. Under the guidance of ACP Suresh Wankhede and PI Anil Gaikwad, the team laid a trap at Roplekar Hospital Chowk and intercepted the Scorpio Jeep. Two accused were sitting in the Jeep. During the search, the police found 10.480 kgs of Marijuana. A case has been registered at the Osmanpura police station against the accused. The action was executed by API Jarwal, constable Shivaji Zine, Prakash Chavan, Rajendra Salunke, Prabhakar Raut and others.
