Aurangabad, June 10:

The members of Coaching Classes Association demanded that they should be allowed to reopen the classes from June 12 by implementing all Covid measures.

Owners, teaching and non-teaching staffers of all the coaching classes that were shut down for the past 15 months face financial problems.

The Association had announced to form a human chain from Kranti Chowk to District Collector office on Thursday but did not get police permission. So, they to draw the attention of the State Government towards their different demands. They wore black clothes and ran towards Kranti Chowk from 22 different areas of the city.

They gathered at Kranti Chowk, holding placards and shouting slogans. A delegation submitted a memorandum to the district collector demanding permission to reopen the classes from June 12.

They also threatened to reopen the classes from June 14 if they do not get permission by June 12.

In the memorandum, it was mentioned that the coaching classes owners decided to reopen all the coaching classes on June 14 across the State. Association State unit president P M Wagh, Prashant Bansod, Dnyneshwar Dhakne, Arun Pathade, Vandana Neharkar said they would stage ‘Jail Bharo’ agitation in front of the district collector and tehsil office with family members if action is taken against any coaching classes owner.

The other demands of the association included a waiving building rent, one year’s electricity bill, Goods and Services Tax, Income Tax and local tax, demanding Rs 20,000 monthly honorarium for teachers from April 1, providing bank loan facing from public sector banks and inclusion of classes into micro, small and medium industries category.
