Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Department of Music and Drama, MGM University, organised various programmes as part of the birth anniversary celebration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.

A program called 'Jalsa of Education-Struggle-Enlightenment' was held at Rukmini Auditorium on Monday. After the Jalsa, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Center for Buddhist Studies held enlightening lectures by adv Vaishali Dolas and Registrar of Savitribai Phule Pune University Dr Vijay Khare.

MGM University Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Anuradhatai Kadam, Registrar Dr Ashish Gadekar, all Deans and others were present. In the Jalsa, many songs based on the life of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar were presented. Raju Sonawane conducted the proceedings of the programme while Dr Manjushree Landage proposed a vote of thanks.

Satish Jogdand, Gaurav Dhole, Rahul Dabhade and Sachin Tribhuvan accompanied the singers which included Rahul Khare, Tushar Ambhore, Apoorva Jadhav and Shravasti Jewarikar.
