UBT leader of opposition Ambadas Danve criticized the city's ministers over the ongoing water supply issue, stating that the city requires 240 MLD of water daily, but only 140 MLD is being supplied. He emphasized that proper management could ensure water every alternate day. Danve pointed out that the municipal administrator is distracted by the IPL, while the city's ministers are failing to address the water crisis Sanjay Shirsat focusing on Aurangzeb and Atul Save parading as a Jal Samrat.

Uddhav Sena held a meeting at Tapadia Natyamandir on Sunday, where current and former office-bearers, including city head Raju Vaidya, organizer Balasaheb Thorat, and others, were present. Danve announced a month-long protest under the slogan "Crooks, Give Us Water," demanding urgent action. The protest will culminate in a march to the Municipal Corporation, led by party chief Uddhav Thackeray or Aditya Thackeray.

The city's new water supply project has seen its cost rise from Rs 1680 crores to Rs 3200 crores, with at least another year of work needed to complete it. Even a Rs 200 crore project for a temporary pipeline has not been finished. Danve criticized the municipal administrator's lack of attention to the water issue, which could be resolved with proper planning to ensure water is available every alternate day.

Chandrakant Khire’s absence

The party had announced that both Chandrakant Khire and Danve would guide the workers' meeting, but Khire was absent, later revealing he had gone to Nagpur for another event.
