Aurangabad, Feb 4:

Aurangabad Rural Police API Satyajeet Taitwale was severely beaten with blows, kicks and rods by around 6 to 7 unidentified persons on Cidco Bus Stand to API Corner service Road on February 1 night. On Thursday, Taitwale finally lodged a complaint at the Cidco MIDC police station.

According to the complaint, Taitwale with his friends Gandhar Deshpande, Harshal Zarekar and two others had gone to Hotel ‘On the Rocks’ on February 1 night. At this time, Taitwale had a phone call and he went out of the hotel talking on the phone. When he went again in the hotel after attending the call, his friends were quarrelling with other customers. He tried to console them. He then took his friend out of the hotel. Later, he started walking on the service road between Cidco Bus Stand and API Corner talking on the phone with his wife. When he was standing on the road, a motorcyclist put his motorcycle between his legs due to which Taitwale fell down. Later, around 6 to 7 persons started beating him with road and kicks. However, when he started shouting for help, the attackers fled away from the scene. Later, former corporator, Manoj Gangve took Taitwale to the hospital. On the third day of the incident, Taitwale lodged a complaint at the Cidco MIDC police station and a case has been registered against six to seven unknown persons. PSI Meera Lad is further investigating the case.

Meanwhile, Taitwale did not want that the attack on him should come to the fore. Hence, the hospital where he was being treated did not send the medical report to the concerned police station. Taitwale took discharge from the hospital at around 4 am and went home. Later, he went to the ophthalmologist and orthopedic. During the MRI test, it was known that the ligaments in the leg were damaged.
