Aurangabad, Nov 25:

The health administration at Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today informed of detecting two Coronavirus infected persons each at the airport and railway station.

The health team collected swab samples for the RT-PCR test of 26 passengers arriving at the local airport on Tuesday. The teams at railway station also conducted RT-PCR tests of 168 passengers de-boarding the Sachkhand Express train. Their reports received by the AMC today revealed that two positives each at the airport and the station are detected, said the municipal officer (health) Dr Neeta Padalkar.

The second wave of Coronavirus has arrived in states like Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa. On the directives of the state government, the local authorities deployed one team at the airport and two teams at the station to conduct tests upon passengers arriving by plane or train coming from one of the above four states.

Dr Padalkar also informed that the health teams collected swabs of 238 train passengers arriving by Sachkhand Express at the station and 79 air passengers at the airport on Wednesday.
