A minor argument over a classroom seat spiralled into a violent attack at Zenith Academy, Mehmoodpura, as a gang of five stormed in and assaulted two brothers in front of terrified students and teachers.

The incident, which occurred between February 18 and 19, began when complainant Syed Ghulam Moinuddin (19) objected to accused Joheb Chishti (19) resting his feet on a bench meant for books. The disagreement escalated when Joheb verbally abused and physically attacked Irfan and his brother. Despite teacher Qureshi’s attempts to defuse tensions, the conflict reignited the next day in a shocking turn of events. Four unidentified men barged into the classroom, demanded "Moin," and, after Joheb pointed him out, they tore his shirt and beat him with punches and kicks. They then stormed into another classroom and brutally assaulted his brother. Teachers and students tried to intervene, but the attackers issued threats before fleeing. Begumpura police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
