The city police arrested the gang members stealing electronic gadgets from other state. The police arrested Yogesh Babaji Putmale (27) and Satish Revnath Bankar (30, both residents of Malewada) and seized electronic gadgets worth Rs 19,57,824/-.
The police said, Jagatbhai Narendra Patel (43), a resident of Aslali, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, run an agency selling mixers, grinders, TV, and other electronic gadgets. He lodged a complaint at Aslali police station that mixer, grinder, iron press, LED TV, all amounting Rs 40 Lakh were stolen from his agency.
Meanwhile, the PI of Jinsi Police Station, Vyankat Kendre, received an information from the informers that some thieves from the city have stolen the mixers, grinder, TV and other electronic gadgets from other state and sold it to a trader at Nashik. PI, Kendre through the Whatapp message made the information viral on the network of the various police stations in the country. On December 1, the PI of Aslali police station, P R Jadeja confirmed the theft that the electronic gadgets had been stolen from an agency here. Similarly, a team of Aslali police station arrived in the city.
Under the guidance of senior officers, PI Kendre, for assisting the Aslali police team, accompanied a Jinsi police team led by PSI Datta Shelke. They arrested Yogesh and Satish on Wednesday. During interrogation, both the accused told the police that they, with the help of their accomplices Zuber Khan and Javed Qureshi (both residents of Aslali, Ahmedabad, Gujarat) stole the electronic gadgets from the Agency at Aslali and brought it in a Tempo at Aurangabad. They confessed that they sold the gadgets to a trader named Sajju at Nashik. According, a raid was conducted at Nashik, and stolen articles worth Rs 19,57,324/- were seized. The arrested accused have been handed over to the Aslali, Gujrat police, PI Kendre said.
The action was executed under the guidance of CP Dr Nikhil Gupta, DCP Deepak Girhe, ACP Nishikant Bhujbal by Jinsi police including PI V M Kendre, PSI Datta Shelke, Ahmedabad, ASI Sampat Rathod, hawaldar Harun Shaikh and others with Gujrat police PI Jaidevsingh Vaghela and his team.
