Aurangabad, June 25:

The decision to impart education of higher and technical, medical and professional courses in mother tongue in the new educational police will revolutionary in the country's development, opined the chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education, Dr Anil Sahatrabuddhe. He was speaking during the Convocation ceremony of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) held through online system on Friday. Chancellor and governor Bhagatsingh Koshyari presided over. The chief guest of the function was higher education minister Uday Sawant, the special guest was Dr Sahastrabuddhe. Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole and other officers were present. Dr Sahatrabuddhe said, the new educational policy is students centric and it will strenghten the education base of the country. Preference will be given to knowledge systems, inter-disciplinary approach and innovation in the new policy. It will bring crucial changes in the educational development of the country. Initially, technical eduacation will be imparted in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telagu and Bangali languages in 14 technical eductional institutes, Dr Sahatrabuddhe mentioned. Samant delivered a speech through the online system. Dr Yeole said, BAMU secured 69th position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking, and it is the second university in the state to appear in the first 100 rankings. We are trying to communicate with the industrialists to make co-ordination in the education and profession by developing skills to generate self-employment, he said. Chancellor Koshyari said India is considered as the country of youths and hence there are huge expectations from the students and researchers. While being the role model of the society, they should maintain good behaviour, Koshyari appealed.
