Aurangabad, March 15:

The district collector Sunil Chavan today has issued an order to close all hotels, restaurants, food joints, dhabas, resorts in the district from March 17 to April 4.

The collected feared that the gathering of visitors in the establishments might help spread the Coronavirus infection. Hence all the above establishments are ordered to close their business. However, they are permitted to operate the kitchen to provide takeaway (parcel) or home delivery services during this period.

The order is also applicable to the dining halls, permit rooms, food parks and fun parks in the district. The order will come into effect from March 17 (6 am) to April 4, stated the collector and chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (Aurangabad). The commissioner of police (CP), municipal commissioner, Zilla Parishad chief executive officer (CEO) and other key officials had been intimated about the order.

It may be noted that the partial lockdown has been implemented in the district from March 11 to April 4. There is a night curfew from 9 pm to 6 am daily, while complete lockdown will be there on Saturdays and Sundays. Earlier, the coaching classes and educational institutes (schools and colleges) are also ordered to be closed.
