Corona is causing havoc all over the world for over a year. Many people experienced severe crisis during this period. However, despite great difficulties, several helping hands came forward to help others and keep humanity alive. Several of those are still providing support and help to the masses even today without pause.

Mohsin Abdul Gafur Khan, (Distribution of Ration Kits)

Builder Mohsin Abdul Gafur Khan is distributing ration kits to the needy in the previous lockdown and also in this current lockdown. Keeping in mind the sufferings of the poor during the lockdown, Khan and his colleagues surveyed and compiled a list of those in need. To date, they have distributed 15,000 ration kits. The ration kit weighs as much as 45 kg and contains all the necessities of life for an ordinary family. The family does not need to be out of the house for at least a month.

Ravi Lodha, food donation to the needy

Ravi Lodha's food donation work has been going on since 2017. This work gained further momentum during the lockdown caused by the coronavirus. With the initiative of Lodha and the cooperation of friends and well-wishers, free food has been provided to the poor for the last 8 months. Lodha is providing a complete meal of three chapatis, vegetables and rice. Dessert is also given once a week to the needy. Many poor families benefited from the food.

Kishor Waghmare, patient service and oxygen distribution

The KK Group distributed ration kits and home delivery of essential items in the last lockdown. This year, however, there is a need for oxygen cylinders. Therefore, the KK Group is helping with the task of providing oxygen cylinders to patients undergoing treatment at home. Kishor Waghmare is the vice president of the group. The members of this group are ready to serve the patients in the GMCH 24 hours a day. Funeral services for the bereaved, distribution of food, arranging oxygen, ventilator beds, ambulances, blood donation are being carried out by the group.

Sandeep Kulkarni, helping the needy in every way

Sandeep Kulkarni is the chief coordinator of the Ambulance Help Riders Group that works at various levels for corona patients such as providing corona patients with beds, arranging remdesivir or other drugs, injections, ambulances, assisting in vaccination campaigns, counselling and providing essential services. Bhushan Koli, Prasad Kasture, Jagdish Erande, Parag Dhoot, Pawan Bhise, Adv Shrikant Mishra, Riteish Jain, Rahul Gadkari, Deepak Salve are also giving support.
