Aurangabad, Nov 18:

The sitting MP, Syed Imtiaz Jaleel, has clarified that he is against the shifting of the head office of Maharashtra State Board of Wakfs (MSBoW) from Aurangabad to Mumbai.

" The Wakf minister Nawab Malik is lying. He claimed that I had given consent to the shifting of Wakf office to Mumbai. However, I would like to bring into your notice that I had not given any such kind of consent and I stress that the Wakf Board''s head office should remain in Aurangabad only," said the MP.

Earlier, the Wakf minister had conducted a press conference at Panchakki to announce that his ministry is shifting the head office to Mumbai and the regional office will continue to remain functioning in Aurangabad. During interaction with media persons, he revealed having consent letter of the MP in his possession.
