The outcry after an incident should not stop. Learn to step forward. Don''t depend on others and don''t be satisfied with the protection offered by law. Become your own Savitri and Jhansi Ki Rani, said Rupali Chakankar, state president of NCP women''s wing.

The NCP women''s wing had organized a women''s meet at Deogiri College on Sunday. On the occasion, Chakankar interacted with the women. Mangal Khinvasara, Dr Rashmi Borikar, Dr Smita Avchar, Chhaya Jangle, Mehraj Patel, Ankita Vidhate were the chief guests. Chakankar said, women now need to participate in the decision-making process. For that, women should speak up. Every woman should think about themselves, rather than what society will say. She also said that society needs to change its attitude and mentality towards women. Dr Avchar, Dr Borikar, Mangal Khinvasara also interacted with women. Deputy principal of Devagiri Dr C S Patil made the introduction. Darshana Gandhi, Dr Pushpa Jadhav, Dr Sangeeta Jadhav, Dr Sulochana Jadhav were present.
