Aurangabad, Dec 15:

The rise in theft of different types of motorcycles in the city depicts that the vehicle-thieves are active in the city. Six motorcycles had been stolen from various parts of the city, in the past month. The police of various police stations had registered the complaints and had launched a hunt to arrest the thieves.

Amol Manohar Shinde (30, a resident of New Hanumannagar) complained that his motorcycle (MH20 CJ 8278) was lifted when it was parked near API Corner on December 3 night. Unidentified thieves stole motorcycle (MH20 CM 3485) of Mansaram Batashe Prasad (42, a resident of Vishalnagar in Garkheda) when it was parked in front of his house on December 6 night.

The two-wheeler (MH20 CW 7453) of Jitendra Gangadhar Gore (a resident of N-7 Cidco) was stolen when he had parked the vehicle in front of a sugarcane juice centre at Shahnoormiyan Dargah Chowk on November 17. In another complaint, Sudarshan Kaduba Bhusare (30, a resident of Shendraban MIDC) stated that his motorcycle (MH20 DR 4501) was stolen when it was parked in front of ABC Complex (on Adalat Road) on November 11.

A resident of Jogeshwari, Suresh Vijay Chavan (25 years) stated that his motorcycle (MH20 DM 6380) was lifted when it was parked outside the entrance gate of a company in Waluj MIDC area, on December 11. One woman also complained that her two-wheeler (MH20 BG 7922) was stolen from the parking area of Ajanta Complex in Cannaught Place on December 13.
