Aurangabad, Oct 20: Managing director and 11 others, including directors and senior officials, of a company were booked on Tuesday by the Kadim Jalna police on the charge of cheating a trader of Rs 15 lakh on the promise of giving a bio diesel fuel station during last some months.

They have been identified as Rahul Patil (area sales manager), managing director Santosh Verma, Sachin Labade, Jayant Keskar, a woman director, sales officer Parag Rammurthy, head finance officer Prashanti Atukuri, Zonal head of south west India Anand Datla, officers Kunal Gupta, Muzammil Khan, Yogesh Bhaduka and Shanawaz Khan.

According to the police, the trader Haji Samiullah Kachhi (60, Malipura, old Jalna) complained that a Mumbai-based company My Eco Energy Pvt Ltd had published an advertisement in a leading newspaper inviting applications for retail dealership of bio-diesel fuel station. In response to the advertisement, he contacted area sales manager Rahul Patil, a resident of Aurangabad. The accused told him that the company would give a dealership to him. Patil and others officers of the company inspected the site of opening the proposed fuel station and sought security deposit. Accordingly, the victim deposited Rs 15 lakh in the company account. Despite completing all formalities and paying deposit, the company started dilly-dallying in giving the dealership to Kachhi. He approached the Kadim Jalna police station and lodged a complaint on realizing that he had been taken for a ride. The police registered a case against Rahul and 11 others .
