Aurangabad, Feb 10:

A minor girl was raped by her sister’s husband and later arranged her marriage to a relative. Moreover, he and her husband raped her, threatening her to upload her objectionable photos on social media. The MIDC Waluj police have booked the brother-in-law and husband in this regard.

A 15 years old minor girl from Buldhana was brought to the Waluj MIDC by her brother-in-law Shivshankar Tangade to help her ailing sister in 2018. Tangade raped her, took her photos, and threatened to make the images viral on social media if she talked about it to anyone. Hence, the panicked girl did not complain about it to anyone. Later, Tangade arranged her marriage with his own relative, Murlidhar Lambe, on June 26, 2019. Lambe lived with her in the Waluj MIDC area. Tangade, on several occasions used to come to her and rape her, threatening her to make her photos viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the girl became pregnant. Tangade opened a Facebook account in her name and posted that she wanted to sell a baby for four lakh. The women and child welfare officer took cognizance of the issue and complained to Kranti Chowk police station against the victim and Tangade. After the case was registered, her husband Lambe and her sister drove her out of the house. She started living at Savitribai Phule Hotel in the city. On May 23, 2020, she gave birth to a baby and gave the baby to the Bhartiya Samaj Seva Kendra, stating that she is not capable of the baby's upbringing. Tangade again took her with him at her house and sexually abused her again.

Fed up of constant torture, she lodged a complaint against brother-in-law Shivshankar Tangade and husband, Murlidhar Lambe at the Waluj MIDC police station. PSI Prashant Gambhirrao is further investigating the case.
