Aurangabad, Dec 17:

Members of Management Council (MC) of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) approved the decision of the administration to appoint a one-member probe committee led by Justice (retd) P R Bora.

It may be noted that some teachers unions took objection to the appointment of registrar Dr Jaishree Suryavanshi, director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Yogesh Patil and Dean of Commerce and Management Science Dr Walmik Sarwade.

Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole set up Justice (retd) Bora Committee.

The members approved the committee and asked to submit its report as early as possible. The offline meeting began at CFART this morning.

Besides officers, Rajesh Karpe, Dr Fulchand Salampure and Principal Jaisinghrao Deshmukh and other members were present.

The members took objection to the decision of appointment of one principal for two colleges which belongs to one education society. Principal of Maulana Azad College Dr Mazhar Farooqui has an additional charge of Marathwada College of Education. The university approved this.

VC Dr Pramod Yeole decided to withdraw the principal’s approval of one of the colleges.

Similarly, the objection was raised to the appointment Principal of Pandit Nehru College Dr Ganesh Agnihotri as he did not have required eligibility.

The vice-chancellor appointed three-member committee.

The members are Principal Deshmukh, Dr Karpe and Haridas Vidhate. The panel will submit its report in 15 days.

Newly Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirsath gave approval for both the principals'' appointment.

Members alleged irregularities in results declaration. Bamu declared the result of various undergraduate and postgraduate courses examination recently. There were irregularities in hundred of students result.

Members said that the irregularities caused education loss of students.

BoEE director Dr Yogesh Patil assured them of removing irregularities in two days.
