MP Imtiaz Jaleel today expressed his concern over the pathetic condition of road extending from Aurangpura to Baroodghar Nullah, this afternoon. The Maharashtra Industries Development Corporation (MIDC) will be developing the route. Hence the MP today inspected the road and ordered the AMC to remove encroachments and MSEDCL to relocate electricity poles on priority.

Earlier, the state government had appointed three government agencies - MIDC, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) - to develop roads of valuing Rs 150 crore. Each office was given the responsibility of developing roads of valuing Rs 50 crore. However, due to non-availability of the fund, AMC and MSRDC did not start the works, but MIDC instead of waiting for a fund started the works one and a half month ago.

MIDC will be developing the roads under the Road Development Programme. " To keep a vigil on the quality of works of roads to be built through the fund of Rs 150 crore, the government will appoint an independent committee, soon," said the MP.
