Aurangabad, Nov 15:

Many employees of Mahrashtra State Road Transport Corporation are celebrating Diwali with family members while some employees find festival joy in transporting others for Diwali festival.

Machhindra Bankar, a resident of Cidco N-7 is one of them. He says that serving passengers who return home for the festival gives him joy.

“My Diwali celebration means carrying passengers to their native place. I cannot give time to a family in festival season. On the contrary, the workload increased in the season. After duty, I prefer to spend the remaining time with the family members,” he said. There was the possibility of non-celebration of the festival because of three months pending salary.

Bankar who has been working in ST Mandal as a driver for the past 10 years, said that his family was delighted to get pending salary before Diwali.

Babita Bankar, his wife, complains that he is not giving time for the family on any festival. But, she said that her complaint before passengers service is momentary. His two sons and a daughter take pride in their father’s duty.
