Aurangabad, Dec 7:

Muslim Numainda Council (MNC) demanded to reconstruct Babri Masjid at its place.

In a memorandum submitted to the President of the country through divisional commissioner, the council office-bearers stated that some communal forces demolished Babri Masjid during the period of late Prime Minister P V Narsimha Rao.

They said that P V Narsimha Rao had promised Muslims to reconstruct Babri Masjid at its own place.

“We humbly request you to issue immediate necessary directions for the reconstruction of the mosque,” they added. The memorandum was signed by its general secretary Meraj Siddiqui, Shaikh Muntajibuddin and Mohammed Kamran Ali.
