Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Gopinathrao Munde National Institute of Rural Development and Research (GMNIRDR) and Malviya Mission Teachers Training Center of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will jointly organise a one-day Marathwada Paani Parishad on March 10, to have a constructive discussion on the important issue of water conservation of the region.

District Collector Deelip Swami will inaugurate the conference at the auditorium on Monday. Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari will preside over the function.

Dr Upendra Kulkarni will be the chief guest while Justice Ambadas Joshi (former judge), a member of the Management Council Dr Gajanan Sanap will be the guest of honour.

Marathwada, known for its water scarcity problems, needs an effective water management policy to ensure sustainable development. This conference is an attempt to bring together water experts, policymakers and stakeholders.

Dr Sanjay Sanluke, the director of GMNIRDR and Dr Satish Patil, the director of Malviya Mission Center, have appealed to attend this water conference.
