National seminar held for foreign students in Azad College

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Foreign Students’ Cell (FSC) of Maulana Azad College and the FSC of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) jointly organised a national seminar in Arabic and a cultural programme for foreign students.

The event aimed at providing a platform for scholarly discussions while celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of international students. College Principal Dr Mazhar Farooqui presided over the function.

In his inaugural speech, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Bamu Dr Walmik Sarwade shared his insightful thoughts on Arabic language, literature and its relevance in contemporary academia.

Renu Prithiani (Zonal Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Regional Office, Mumbai) was the chief guest for the cultural event.

She elaborated on the various scholarship opportunities and fellowship programmes offered by ICCR for foreign students. Director of FRC-Bamu Dr Suchita Yambal, Swati Kedar (API, FRRO, Office of the Commissioner of Police), Maulana Dr Abdul Rasheed Madani (Arabic scholar) and Principal Dr Mazhar Farooqui also spoke.

Dr Shaikh Kalimoddin conducted the proceedings of the programme while Dr Abdul Ahad proposed a vote of thanks.
