Officer gets promotion on retirement as director

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dinkar Jadhav, the joint director of the Agriculture Department (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division) was given a promotion and transfer on the last day of his retirement. He retired on May 31.

He was promoted to director of the Floriculture and Medical Plant Board. On receiving the promotion orders on Wednesday, Dinkar Jadhav went to Pune on the same day and took charge.

After working for the whole day, he retired yesterday evening. Jadhav was working as divisional joint director of the Agriculture Department in the city for the past three years. He was eligible for the post of promotion as director of the Agriculture Department.

Despite this, the orders of his promotion were being delayed. He served the department for 32 years and was to retire from the service on May 31. As usual, he came to the office of the divisional joint director in the city on Wednesday morning.

He was promoted and transferred as director of the Floriculture and Plants Board at 10 am.

On receiving orders, he went to Pune and took charge of the post. After working for some hours, he retired at 6 pm on the same day.
